Aventurine

Aventurine is a type of translucent quartz  with abundant small plate or flake shaped inclusions. Light entering the quartz strikes these inclusions and reflects from them which produces a sparkly kind of appearance , known as “aventurescence.” The inclusions in Aventurine can also show a distinct lovely color to the material.                            Aventurine has been found in many parts of the world. India being the most important commercial producer. Brazil is the second place producer with Russia, Spain, Austria, and Tanzania producing smaller amounts.
