 Lapis Lazuli is mainly royal blue or deep violet,  sometimes with grey veins or glitter effects. Afghanistan is the primary source of Lapis Lazuli, although there are mines in Pakistan, Russia, Chile, and North America. It is liked for its shimmering iridescence and is popular for beads, ornamental carvings, and jewellery. It is also a popular gemstone.  Lapis lazuli appears in many Egyptian archaeological sites that date back to about 3000 BC. It was used in many ornamental objects and jewellery.
